We just released Monotya's debut album Otun... and the title track's music video featuring Nidia Gongora! The album fuses the multi-layered precision of his classical education, his innate curiosity for Latin and “world” music, and an affection for melodic electronica. Otun is simultaneously expansive and ambitious, yet coherent and even comfortingly familiar - as desirous of a catchy harmony as conceptual melding of Latin folk and modern electronics.
