FSOBA is an album compiling the key players in the Argentine electronic scene that are famous for revolutionizing traditional music from the roots of South America by updating it to the digital world of 2012 in which we live. ZZK Records is independent record label based in Buenos Aires that has been expanding the borders of Argentine music for the past 4 years.

A the veteran of Buenos Aires’ famed Zizek Club and one of the leading members of ZZK Records, Mati has emerged as Buenos Aires’ premier producers, pioneering a style that fuses experimental dance with everything from cumbia to bass music. Mati Zundel’s debut album Amazonico Gravitante blends dance music with música típica, a combination of tinku, huaynos, charangueada y bomba with electronic textures.

Piratas y Fichines is the debut release of the audiovisual duo, Super Guachin, made up of brothers Ignacio and Luciano Brasolin. Experimenting with different technological resources and an arsenal of electronic toys built and modified by the duo themselves (including tricked out Comodore 64s, Gameboys, and Ataris), they create music that is uniquely modern, experimental, and innovative.

Fauna’s new album, the follow up to their 2008 debut La Manita de Fauna, is the result of both Argentina and constant touring. Influenced by the music they heard on the road, the album is an exploration in cumbia, dubstep, kuduro and more. Their sound has evolved, production grown in depth and range, and lyrics matured.

Rio Arriba is the sophomore album from ZZK artist Chancha Via Circuito who molds local South American rhythms into global artistry.  Rio Arriba bubbles up from the Andes like percussive lava, seething as it is soothing.  Layers of drums play out like water and earth battling heat - heat brought by Chancha Via Circuito, the Pig on the Circular Train.

Disclaimer:  This album is an experiment.  It is an anthology of Tremor’s remixes over 6-year period.  It shows the diversity of Tremor’s productions, from sweaty dancefloors to rural dirt-road video.

El Remolon’s latest EP Pangeatico is a sneak peek into what’s coming from his next full-length album, due out later this year from ZZK Records. Exploring other genres like dubstep, kuduro, and other upbeat rhythms, Pangeático stays true to El Remolon’s electronic, hypnotic, and groovy spirit filled with pop sensibility.

Shaman chant and charango guitar loops are the backbone of Lagartijeando's signature style.  Native voices are the backbeat to percussion and bass tracks with organ melodies combining cumbia and psychedelic noise.  Songs give deference to ritual and maintain respect for tradition while pushing the old into a cosmic space future.

Produced by Poirier, a DJ/producer from Montreal, “Las Americas” features a reggaeton-inspired track with vocals by Boogat. The album, which also includes remixes from Uproot Andy, El Remolon, Lagartijeando, and Douster.

Celebrating the most recent edition and the digital distribution of Pibe Cosmo, El Remolon open the gates to his electronic vault (aka hard drive) so that we could have some exclusive B SIDES off the album Pibe Cosmo. Remixes, mashups and unedited material which has been played in sizzling sets for the last couple years. In the meantime he is preparing on what is to be a wicked new album and a series of OFFICIAL remixes soon to be released.

The first edition of Tremor’s vinyl is the EP, Caracol. It features remixes by Clorofila de Nortec Collective, El Remolón, King Coya and Chancha Vía Circuito. Its a great opportunity to listen how each artist interprets Tremor's sound.

On his ZZK Records Triassic EP he continues his cross cultural pollination and delivers a lesson in Tropical music. Douster goes back to prehistoric times, imagines the soundtrack of a life during the Triassic era. Raw rhythms, primitive melodies and cavemen chants that sound from a world when the land masses were connected, shedding borders and grooving primitively to his strain of electronic music.

El Remolón presents Pibe Cosmo, 12 rhythmic tracks of his signature digital cumbia and electro reggaeton. The record makes its way from party bangers to cumbia pushed through a minimal techno sieve, all the way to pretty pop melodies that stick in your head. With guests Pablo Lescano, Ale Sergi, Fauna, Blitto and Vanesa Strauch.
